Cosmet’Agora 2025: BASF showcases recent product launches and advances in climate-adaptive beauty routines

Paris, France – January 14, 2025 – At Cosmet'Agora, January 14–15 in Paris, BASF will open a new chapter in its Beyond Beauty journey. With an innovative formulation concept being launched at the show, the company is taking a multifaceted approach to sustainability. The featured formulas meet the needs of eco-conscious consumers while addressing challenges in personal care posed by changing environmental conditions. The concept reflects sustainability, transparency, and science that drive the Beyond Beauty approach and innovation strategy of BASF’s personal care business. “At BASF, we take our responsibility seriously. BASF’s Personal Care business succeeds in obtaining new cosmetic ingredient notification for Symbiocell® in China

BASF’s Personal Care business recently succeeded in obtaining a new cosmetic ingredient notification for Symbiocell®, which can be commercialized as a cosmetic ingredient with BASF’s authorization in China. A unique active ingredient, Symbiocell® (INCI: Water (and) Butylene Glycol (and) Cestrum Latifolium Leaf Extract (and) Xanthan Gum (and) Propanediol (and) Caprylyl Glycol), is proven through in vitro tests to support healthy levels of the basal expression of CD86 in skin dendritic cells. It effectively soothes sensitive skin and potentially excessive cutaneous reactions.

BASF and INOCAS sign agreement to develop sustainable Macaúba oil supply in Brazil

December 10, 2024 – BASF and INOCAS S.A. (Innovative Oil and Carbon Solutions) signed a long-term Supplier Finance Agreement, including offtake of Macaúba Kernel Oil and Macaúba Pulp Oil, an R&D project and options to acquire equity shares in INOCAS in future. The partnership includes financing of INOCAS’ plans to significantly expand the Macaúba oil production in Brazil on an industrial scale.
